This is the Prototype of the Rare to Find Duofold Centennial Limited edition Flame Red DNA WES 2009 Fountain Pen by Parker.
A very Rare DNA Flame Red Limited to just 100, made for Writing Equipment Society (WES ) London Pen Show 2009 of the 100 made only 90 were available for the public to buy
What are the differences between this prototype and the released version?
1, Logo to Top of Cap is different from the release version. (Released version reads “Parker” the Prototype reads “Doufold Parker”
2, The Trims on the released version is Rhodium Plated this one is Gold plated.
3, The Nib on the prototype is a Two Tone Gold Nib, while the released version is a Rhodium plated Gold Nib.
4, Inscription on Nibs are different the inscription on the Prototype reads “Doufold” the inscription on the released version reads “Parker”
5, As far as I know this is the only prototype that made it into the open market the other two are in the possession of Parker Pen.
The pen is made from a Flame Red Precision Chiseled Helical Pattern Acrylic with Gold Plated Trims, Famous arrow Clip, at the top of the cap it reads “Duofold”
The pens cap is screw on and the pen can be fitted with a parker piston converter to be used with bottled ink however if you prefer to use cartridges then simply unscrew the converter and slot in a cartridge ( converter included )
The Pens Nib is stunning made from 18K Two Tone Gold and is a M= Medium in Size.
The pen is New and comes in a Parker Presentation Box.
