The Pelikan Caelum (Latin for the Sky or Heavens) was released as a limited edition of just 580 pens (after the average orbital distance from Mercury to the Sun, 58 million Km)

The pen cap and barrel are lacquered in a deep night sky blue and show the planets of our solar system orbiting around the sun and amidst the stars beyond the solar system. The top of the cap is the sun, with it's rays in vermeil spreading out to the planets. Each planet, from Mercury to Pluto, is shown in its orbit and with its moons along the front of the pen. On the back of the cap and barrel is a vermeil strip engraved with the names of the planets. When the cap is closed the threads ensure that the name strip is always aligned.

 The pen is almost 6 inches (15cm) capped and 7 inches (17.5cm) with the cap posted, slightly longer then the M1000. It is, however, much weightier than the M1000 at 80g, a mark of it's beautiful construction. The Caelum has the normal Pelikan piston filler.

The M1000 Gold Nib is Rhodium plated and is a Medium point.

This pen is new has never been inked or dipped it comes in a standard Pelikan M1000 presentation box, what you see is what you get.
