Classic Pens LS 10 Inochi Lambrou-Sunami Maki-e Fountain Pen

A unique design created and hand crafted by celebrated Maki-e artist, Shogetsu Mitani

Pure Gold and other precious natural along with coloured Urushi Lacquer adorn the cap, barrel and gripping section of pen.

This design is consummately executed in Shishiai-Togidashi Maki-e, the highest level of Maki-e Art, it reflects an original inspiration by Masa Sunami, Shogetsu and Andreas Lambrou.

Inochi in Japanese means Life. The design on the pen is inspired by the oak tree, symbolizing strength, its leaves representing dignity, integrity and honor. The artwork represents a new season in the forest. The Maki-E techniques used on this pen combine to create the leaves, bark and acorns in high relief, including Togidashi and Taka Maki-E. The Maki-E artist is Shogetsu Mitani and carries his red seal signature.

The exquisite design is issued in an edition of 15 numbered fountain pens world-wide, each carrying the prestigious Red Seal Signature of the Artist Shogetsu Mitani

The Maki-E artist is Shogetsu Mitani. He is famous for his work on various Japanese objects including tea containers. Some of his creations have been purchased by the Japanese government to be used for ceremonial occasions.

Condition: New, Comes in its original box, outer box, certificate and paperwork.

This pen is the Artist Proof, as far as I know no other one was made like some of Classic Pens Maki-e pens, Andreas Lambrou had issues with Parker Pens, they with drew from the project, so he could not use the Parker Duofold as a canvas after a while.

This Pen is a Heirloom.
