In 2015, the International Year of Light, Omas celebrated Galileo, the "father of modern physics," with a very short run of only 40 pieces of this Omas Limited Edition Year of Light Galileo fountain pen in Wild celluloid.
The Year of Light is based on the Vintage Paragon design with the same large-capacity piston-filling system. The original 1993 Galileo had a gold clip; this one has a silver clip. Additionally, the '93 Galileo had a center cap band of silver with the thinner, outer bands in gold.
This 2015 Galileo has the main band in gold with two silver outer bands.
This edition is significant as it’s the final run of pens that Omas produced in the Wild celluloid before the company shut down.
The 2015 Galileo was limited to only 40 pieces worldwide; this pen is no. 23 of 40 and is fitted with a two-tone Fine Nib. It is in like-new condition, has never been inked or used, and comes complete with original box and papers.
